Handmade Carpets For Yachts and Superyachts

Loomah launched 10 years ago; we have thoroughly enjoyed celebrating our success in 2011 and we are looking forward to another decade of exciting projects. We like to work closely with designers, boatyards and occasionally the owners, to ensure the most luxurious and beautiful possible final product.

Many of our clients like to have the simple opulence of our most luxurious silk or wool carpets, in plain custom dyed colour; we also excel in more articulated and beautiful designs, to suit each individual interior or taste. From a simple three colours nautical rope border flowing around the contours of the room, to a more complex – up to forty colours - intricate design, we can find a bespoke solution. In all cases, the final result is the same: the ultimate in design, elegance and quality.

All our carpets are made to exact room sizes and shape, in one piece, so there are no unsightly joins. We operate on an international level, and work closely with many boatyard sand designers throughout Europe and Russia, offering full design and installation services through our London office. We also supply to USA and Middle East markets directly from our office in Fulham.

Working closely with the boatyard we produced fitted carpets made to plan, using CAD drawings supplied by the designer, as the boat was not built yet. As seen from the images, we made each carpet to shape and size in one piece, with no seams.

The Dining Room and the Master Cabin feature the most luxurious 100% silk rugs, whilst all the guest cabins were supplied in white 50% wool 50% silk qualities.

We flew to Holland to install the carpets, the first time. A year later, one of the carpets was damaged; we remade the item, and caught up with the boat in beautiful Portofino, in order to replace it.
