A new name has emerged in the world of bespoke carpet and rugs boasting supreme quality and state of the art design - Loomah.

Andrew Cotgrove, the MD of Loomah, has been in the bespoke carpet and rug trade for the past 13 years and has a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the field. He decided that the time had come to set up a business which would appeal not only to larger corporate clients but private individuals who may have previously been put off by the expensive price tags so closely associated with handmade rugs.
"People are frightened because handmade carpets and rugs have the image of being so exclusive and expensive but we are equally as concerned with fitting bespoke carpeting and area rugs for private individuals as we are with supplying corporate clients."
Since its inception in November 2001, a mere three months ago, Loomah has already designed carpeting for a financial institution in the City and rugs for an exclusive London hotel. In terms of private clients, the company has already created nursery rugs for a London couple who are expecting their first child in March.
ABOUT LOOMAH
- Loomah can supply: hand-made carpeting in 100 per cent pure New Zealand wool, in any colour, design and vitually any size (without seams). These qualities can be supplied as loose-laid area rugs or as wall to wall installations. Silk can also be used to add the ultimate look in luxury.
- 100 per cent wool plain pass machine quality carpets in the colours of your choice - made in any width with no unsightly seams. Simple borders can also be designed for these.
- Cut and Loop pile textured carpets, again made in any width or colour.
- After sales service - full measuring, planning and installation service. Full after sales customer support - including cleaning recommendations and advice on maintenance.

DESIGN DIVERSITY
Loomah has a trio of specialist designers who are producing a modern range of exclusive, cutting edge designs as well as creating designs to suit customers individual requirements. Each of the design trio has a different design background covering a range of disciplines - haute couture, traditional carpet design and Hollywood set design respectively - thus bring completely new sensibilities to bespoke carpet design.

Loomah's design team can create a design to suit your interior by matching fabrics, wallpaper, other furnishings and colours in the room. In addition, a client can create a look of their own that the team will help them develop.
Andrew Cotgrove believes that while "people often look for stock rugs"; when they've seen a rug in the design and colours they want, it is very rare they can find the exact size they require. Loomah can match all their requirements with no compromise in design or size.
