Taking a more subtle approach to the design of abstract rugs, the focus of Loomah’s new Abstract Collection is to create original designs that showcase the exquisite materials and skilled craftsmanship that go into crafting a bespoke hand tufted rug.
Comprising of eight original designs, the collection draws inspiration from the enduring beauty of the landscapes that surround us and their naturally occurring patterns and colours.
Intricate design details combined with subdued, tonal colour palettes reminiscent of the subject matter that inspired each design results in a subtly that makes these rugs usable in almost any space. Rich textures, combined with neutral palettes of cool blues and greens and greys make a quiet statement and help create a serene, soothing environment.

Regarded as one of the worlds most sustainable resources, Bamboo is one of the fastest growing plants on the planet. It regenerates and will continue to grow from the root after it has been harvested eliminating deforestation. Bamboo also requires no chemicals or pesticides to grow as it gets all the nutrients it needs from its own fallen leaves which fertilise the soil.
Our bamboo carpets and rugs are made using fibre derived from the bamboo plant. It has an innate lustre to rival silk and feels extremely soft underfoot.
The softness of bamboo adds a sense of movement to each design, emulating the ever changing disposition of the formations that inspired each rug. The smooth cut pile finish enhances the lustre of the bamboo, creating interesting fluctuations in tones and adding an extra dimensions to the finished rugs.
